Happy New Year from Jersey. If you're thinking about where to spend a short break or longer holiday this year, why not order your copy of our new 2012 pureJersey magazine, packed with our stayJersey accommodation guide, for more inspiration about what the island has to offer.
You may have already seen Jersey advertised on TV, introducing some well known local characters, but if you haven't, you can watch it here now. With the island's mild climate, the ad was filmed during September and October 2011. A lasting memory was filming the final scene of Nerina playing her guitar on St Ouen's beach, as the huge golden sun sank slowly below the horizon.

What's it like to live in Jersey? And how does the island influence who you are and what you do? Our four unofficial island 'ambassadors' explain why being born and growing up in Jersey plays such an important part in their lives.
Musician Nerina Pallot grew up in St Ouen's and loves going for walks along the beach. Writing her first song at the age of 13, Nerina now spends much of her time on the international stage. Find out what Nerina has to say about Jersey in her video documentary opposite.
